HSIN Mission Advocate

Michael has been a Mission Advocate for the Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN) since August 2012. He works closely with HSIN Site Administrators and Users from Alaska, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and DHS Joint Task Forces. He assists them with site improvements and creating solutions on HSIN for their mission needs. He has also supported large scale, major events on HSIN such as the 2014 Major League Baseball All Star Game, Super Bowl XLIX, 2016 NFL Pro Bowl, 2016 Phoenix Open, and Super Bowl 50.
Michael was recruited from the Oregon TITAN Fusion Center where he was the Program Coordinator and Lead Criminal Intelligence Analyst. In addition to coordinating daily fusion center operations, he led intelligence teams in supporting the U.S. Olympic Trials for Track and Field, the Oregon International Air Show, and the Vigilant Guard military exercise. Michael was also the Site Administrator for Oregon’s two Communities of Interest on the HSIN Legacy system, where he became a proponent of integrating HSIN into the fusion center’s procedures and information sharing strategies.
